At Vanella only "prima qualità" gets to the table or "to go" bag - additives and artificial flavoring are strictly banned in our thoroughly Italian family business.
HOMEMADE - AND ALWAYS FRESH
Our ice cream is homemade – the always freshly prepared 18 varieties change according to season, whim and mood from the rich source of our classic and creative recipes.
THE BEST FROM EVERYWHERE
We apply the highest standards to the products used: From sunny Italy; the lemons from the Amalfi Coast, the oranges and pistachios from Sicily, the hazelnuts from Piedmont, the Amarena cherries from Emilia Romagna, the ricotta from Campania. The milk is sourced from Austrian organic farms. For chocolate and tropical fruits, we pay special attention to the origin, our genuine bourbon vanilla pods come from Madagascar, the cones, of course, from Italy.
OUR TRAMEZZINI
Our "belly-shaped" Venetian-style tramezzini excite with spicy delight in a glass of Falanghina or, if you prefer, an Italian craft beer.
CAFFÈ CON CREMA
From our hometown of Naples we bring the authentic caffè of the private restaurant Toraldo with us to Vienna, which we particularly appreciate because of its strong-soft roasted aroma and the perfect "crema."
ORGANIC-DRINKS & DOLCETTI
The organic juices and soft drinks come from Veneto, the freshly prepared Dolcetti from our Italian partner, Dolce Pensiero.

But above and beyond the ingredients, conscious, sustainable enjoyment is our top priority: the disposable spoons are made of biodegradable material, the "to go" bags are always made of paper. So you can let yourself be pampered with a clear conscience!
Daniele Valentino defines the signature of the ice cream creations. From his hometown of Naples – where he learned his trade – he brought the sun to Vienna and experienced a new way of making ice cream. With Vanella he combines the best of two worlds: the fruitiness of Italy and the new Austrian creative approach. And, all without any additives losing nothing in the taste. In fact, our ice cream has such a concentrated feeling and taste, we are not sure if can still be called ice cream!
Lea Panella also comes from Naples and is (by the way) Daniele's mother-in-law. From her gastronomic activities in Italy and Spain, she brings vision and fresh ideas in addition to her years of experience and has a sure knack for the savory department: so she keeps on creating new Tramezzini palate games. She puts her focus on the highest quality: customer wishes are her inspiration, the welfare of the guest the top priority.
